ELIC hosted a lovely group of foreign publishers during the HeadRead Literary Festival in Tallinn end of May. Publishers and festival organizers from Taiwan, India, USA, Croatia, Hungary, and Germany met and mingled with Estonian authors, literature and nature.

Sibila and Seid Serdarević (Fraktura Publishing House + World Literature Festival, Croatia), Katrin Sorko (Blessing Verlag, Germany), Emily Chuang (Emily Publishing Company, Taiwan), Shang-Yuan Lee (Linking Publishing Company, Taiwan), Paris Pin-Yu Chen (Translator Estonian-Chinese, Taiwan/UK), Ravi Deecee (Kerala Literary Festival + DC Books, India), Anastasia Nikolis, (Poetry editor for Open Letter Books, USA), and Tamás Böröczki (Gondolat Publishing House, Hungary) had the chance to meet many Estonian authors in person and on stage, heard a lecture on the Estonian publishing market and on Jaan Kross, the master of Estonian historical novel, enjoyed some poetry readings and our moody nature on the coastal areas of Käsmu and Laulasmaa. The Arvo Pärt Centre was a special venue to introduce the life story of the great composer and the book on him.
