Upcoming London Book Fair will be announcing the market focus countries for 2018: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania together as an entity of The Baltic Countries presenting their three uniquely different literatures and cultures.
In addition to the traditional routine work at the Estonian collective stand with members of the Estonian Publishers’ Association and the team of ELIC present the third week of April at the London Book Fair will witness a series of events in preparation for the market focus year:
Reception of the three countries with representatives of the respective Ministries of Culture and the LBF present on Monday.
Tuesday, April 12 at 10 to 11 am a joint seminar titled Crossroads are Everywhere, with Rein Raud from Estonia at Olympia, Gallery Suite Room 1, Grand Hall Gallery.
Tuesday, April 12 at 8 pm a jazz concert of Brigitte Beraha with appearances from Elo Viiding, Jürgen Rooste and Villu Veski performing Estonian poetry accompanied by saxophone at Club 606 @ 90 Lots Road.
Wednesday, April 13 at 9.35 to 10 am a poetry reading called New Voices from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with Asko Künnap from Estonia at Olympia, Poetry Pavilion, Globe Theatre performance area on stand 5B140.
