ELIC has completed a huge international project arranged in co-operation with the Estonian Association of Designer Bookbinders: a volume of 8 young Estonian poets in 8 languages has been artistically bound by 115 artists from 19 countries. All these pieces of art are on display at the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design until May 10, 2015.
The book called Names, Words, Witch’s Symbols. 4x (4+4) x4 = Young Estonian Poetry was compiled by Jürgen Rooste, authors represented are: Birk Rohelend, Asko Künnap, Veronika Kivisilla, Igor Kotjuh, Maarja Kangro, Kaur Riismaa, Maria Lee and Jürgen Rooste. Poems appear in the Estonian, English, French, German, Finnish, Hungarian, Italian and Russian language.
Scripta Manent V is the fifth in the series of international competitions of bookbinders culminating with an exhibition and conference on the art of bookbinding held in Tallinn on February 12, 2015.
