ELIC organized another prolific foreign publishers’ visit to Tallinn from May 28 to June 1.
Participating publishers were Gesche Ipsen (Pushkin Press, UK), Philip Jones (Scribe, UK), Chad Post (Open Letter, USA), Frédéric Martin (Tripode, France), Artur Bogdanowicz (Piper Verlag, Germany), Job Lisman (Prometheus, The Netherlands). A special programme was made for Kate Griffin from the British Centre for Literary Translation, UK. Among the guests was the French translator Jean-Pierre Minaudier who had a public discussion with his French publisher on the reception of Estonian literature in France.
Visiting publishers were happy to meet Estonian authors, listened to the lecture Prof. Dr. Cornelius Hasselblatt from Groningen University on selected Estonian novels, enjoyed the Estonian literary scenery and had an opportunity to take part of the Tallinn literary festival HeadRead.
The visit took place with the financial support by the European Regional Development Fund.
