Andrus Kivirähk is awarded with the most prestigious French prize for speculative fiction for his novel „The Man Who Spoke Snakish“.

Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire is one of the oldest literary prizes for speculative fiction, established in 1974. Andrus Kivirähk receives the prize for best foreign-language novel, “L’homme qui savait la langue des serpents”, translated into French by Jean-Pierre Minaudier and published by Frédéric Martin (Tripode) in 2013. Next translations of this novel will appear in the Netherlands (Prometheus) and USA (Grove Press).
