J.P. Minaudier will receive a big translation award from francophones called Les mots d’Or de la francophonie for his translation of the novel by Andrus Kivirähk "The Man Who Spoke Snakish" from Estonian into French.

The translation was first published in France by the publishing house Attila (now Tripode) in 2013 under the heading „L’homme qui savait la langue des serpents and has sold 10 000 copies since. With the same translation Jean-Pierre Minaudier already won the Estonian Cultural Endowment Annual Prize for best translation into foreign language.
