Estonia was present at the Helsinki Book Fair from 23 to 27 October, 2013. For the first time after being in focus in 2011, we had a stand with a selection of books to browse and buy. Apart from that, there was an extensive program with Estonian authors on stage.

Seminars on topics like “Does a writer lie?” and “How much minor is a minority?” saw packed halls. New translations into Finnish were launched: Jaak Jõerüüt, Indrek Hargla, Tiit Aleksejev, Andrei Hvostov and Mihkel Raud took the floor. A bilingual collection of poetry 8+8 was introduced by four poets from Estonia and four from Finland.
